The Bowling Green

The Bowling Green

A strange hybrid of approaches to electronic music emerges as the Bowling Green. The mad programming of Micko Westmorland is in dire need of Ritalin. It couples analog sound effects with classic breaks, launches into Disco, Big Beat pomposity and tweaked-out Jungle. Cavernous breaks tear through the halls of a 1960s spacecraft with loud navigation instruments sputtering uninterpretable information. The gist is that there is no gist, just giddy, playful, almost humorous music from track to track.
