American bachata group
Vena were formed in the Bronx, New York, by former
Aventura members
Lenny and Max Santos and former
Xtreme member Steve Styles. Continuing in the bachata urbana style of their Dominican heritage, the group began issuing singles like "Ya No" and "Por Mentiras," faring well on the Latin charts in 2012. A collaborative single with bachata legends
Frank Reyes and
Teodoro Reyes, "Corazón de Hierro" arrived the following year. Following a live EP, It's Vena (Live), Styles eventually left the group in 2015 and was replaced by singer Mike Stanley. Stanley made his first appearance on the 2016 single "El Final." Over the next year
Vena produced a handful of collaborative singles like "Race of Time" featuring rapper Zyon and "Evergreen" featuring Jamari. ~ Timothy Monger
