Im deutschen Dorf Rysum in Ostfriesland ist ein wertvolles Instrument erhalten: eine alte Orgel aus den Jahren 1442/1513, die noch den größten Teil der Originalpfeifen besitzt. Lorenzo Ghielmi und das Vokalensemble Biscantores präsentieren eine Art „Orgelmesse”, bei der sich Orgelstücke und liturgischer Gesang entsprechend der damaligen Praxis abwechseln. Eine Reise vom Spätmittelalter bis zum Beginn der Renaissance – so könnte man das musikalische Programm dieser in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Musikwissenschaftler Konrad Küster entstandenen Platte beschreiben, das den einzigartigen Klang dieses Instruments perfekt zum Ausdruck bringt. © Passacaille
