Known for his work with the Transformers franchise and horror films like Friday the 13th (2009) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), composer Steve Jablonsky was enlisted to craft music for the dark action-fantasy film
The Last Witch Hunter, released in 2015. A tense and pulsing symphonic score, it relies on percussion and brass as much as strings to accentuate the formidable alternate world of humans and witches. "Well Hello, Witch Hunter" employs all of the above to high drama, with pounding drums, soaring strings, commanding brass, and bee hive-like dissonance alternating with quieter melodic moments that remain foreboding. Occasional electronics add subtle, otherworldly textures, as on the triumphant "At Your Service." Jablonsky's score was recorded in Nashville with Nashville Music Scoring. ~ Marcy Donelson
