Zarte 27 Lenze zählt der Franzose Tristan Casara und nennt sich erst seit 2014 The Avener. Nun präsentiert der Mann mit dem Namen für Wagnerfans schon sein Albumdebüt. Als DIE Verheißung des Electropop preist die Plattenfirma "The Wanderings ..." an, seine Version des Blues-Songs "Fade Out Lines" gilt zumindest seit seiner Charteroberung als Trendbarometer für den gesamten Longplayer. Der sanfte Track, reduziert und mit 'Platz' produziert, ist jedenfalls super eingängig und setzt mehr auf Pop denn Electro. Ein analoger Shaker rasselt den Groove und der Gitarreneinsatz kristallisiert sich gleichzeitig als Wunderwaffe des Aveners heraus. Der entspannte Bouncer "Panama" ist ähnlich vielfältig orchestriert, gesellt darüber hinaus aber noch Blechbläser zur verspielten Bluesklampfe. Nonchalance, die verständlich wird, wenn man weiß, dass Vasara aus Nizza stammt. Streifenshirt, Slipper und Champagnercocktail gereichen einem ganz sicher zur Inspiration für diese unbeschwerten Klangkonstrukte. Dazu gesellt sich aber natürlich eine ansehnliche Portion Musikalität und Feingespür für Arrangements. "We Go Home" punktet zudem mit der starken Stimme von Adam Cohen. Der Track reißt einen mit seiner beschwingten Folk-Charakteristik im Stil von Mumford & Sons mit. Was den Albumtitel betrifft, so ist dieser clever gewählt, wähnt man sich doch tatsächlich auf einer musikalischen Wanderschaft zwischen verschiedenen Genres, zwischen Unter- und Obergrund. Die Auswahl der Gesangsparts hat Tristan sehr gekonnt getroffen, Gäste wie die Norwegerin Ane Brun sind ein Gewinn für die Abwechslung in den Wanderjahren, "To Let Myself Go" ist ein weiterer Sieg der Nonchalance über den Durchschnitt. Die Franzosen haben uns ja immer schon zeigen müssen, wie cool geht. Tristan Casara hat nach dieser unterhaltsamen Wanderung jedenfalls das Zeug zum Belmondo des Techno.
