Merging the unbridled ferocity of death metal with highly technical metalcore,
All Shall Perish create an interesting balance of recklessness and restraint on their fourth album,
This Is Where It Ends. The band finds an interesting middle ground between the two styles, allowing just enough raw aggression into the music to keep it from feeling too sterile, but not enough that it feels like things are going completely off the rails. This sound is definitely one that will appeal more to metalcore fans than death metal purists, but has enough punishing, lightning-fast riffage that it might make grudging converts out of some of the gore-obsessed diehards out there. ~ Gregory Heaney
