Germany's
Klaas Gerling (aka
Klaas) is a DJ and producer known for his high-energy house and electro tracks. He is best known for his remixes "Infinity 2008" and "Cafe Del Mar" (2016).
Born in 1981 and hailing from Cologne,
Klaas first gained attention with "Infinity 2008" a remix of
Guru Josh's original 1989 track.
Klaas' version was a club favorite in 2008, topping several European charts. A year later, he had similar success with his single "Our Own Way." More hits followed, including "Downtown" and "Freak" with
Bodybangers in 2010. He has also supplied remixes of tracks by a bevy of artists including
Armand Van Helden,
Stromae, Eric Morillo, and others. In 2016, he paired with
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike for remixes of several hits including "Ocarina," "Universal Nation," and "Cafe Del Mar," the latter of which hit the Top 30 in Belgium. Also in 2016, he issued the tracks "Far Away" featuring
Jelle Van Dael, "Feel" featuring
Steve Noble, and "Hungover by a Dream" with
Lorela. He followed with more of his own singles including "Riot" and "Don't Talk" in 2017, and "Love Your Life," "Get Down," and "Ok Without You" in 2018. In 2019, he collaborated with London Beat on "I've Been Thinking About You" which landed at number 25 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. ~ Matt Collar
