Christian Paul is a singer/songwriter based in Jacksonville, Florida whose earnest, vulnerable songs are inspired by classic soul, but with a contemporary edge.
Born in Alabama, Paul has been playing music since a child; he was given a drum set at the age of four, and later taught himself to play guitar and piano. He started singing when he was 12 and, inspired by soul singers ranging from Sam Cooke to D'Angelo, he began writing exceptionally mature-sounding songs about unrequited love and the pain of relationships. In 2019, Paul (only 19 at the time) released his first two singles, "When Love Don't Love You Back" and "Strong," preceding a self-titled EP which arrived in early 2020.
