Formed in 2012 as a side project for
Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill and
Mona vocalist/guitarist Nick Brown,
Smoke & Jackal combines elements of both members' parent groups, with an emphasis on wistful, late night electro-pop. Melodic, provocative, and desperate, the duo released its first single, "No Tell," on August 21, 2012 with plans to release a debut EP,
